Account and profile data: Name, email address, phone number, password (hashed), profile photo, work history, education, skills, resume files, and career preferences.

Employer data: Company name, company logo, website URL, industry, company size, and job postings you create.

Usage data: Pages visited, features used, search queries, job applications submitted, jobs saved, and time spent on the platform.

Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and cookies.

Communications: Messages exchanged with recruiters or candidates through our messaging system, and any correspondence with our support team.

We use the information we collect to:

Operate the platform: Create and manage your account, display your profile to relevant employers, show you relevant job listings, and process job applications.

AI-powered features: Calculate job match scores, generate salary insights, provide career recommendations, and power our AI resume review and interview prep tools.

Communications: Send you job alerts, application status updates, messages from employers or candidates, and important service notifications.

Improve our services: Analyse usage patterns to enhance features, fix bugs, and develop new functionality.

Safety and security: Detect fraudulent activity, verify employer company claims, moderate reviews, and protect our users.

Legal obligations: Comply with applicable laws in Bangladesh and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

With employers: When you apply for a job, your profile and resume are shared with the hiring company. When you submit a review or salary report, it is published anonymously — we do not reveal your identity to the company being reviewed.

With service providers: We use trusted third-party services (such as Supabase for database and authentication, and cloud infrastructure providers) to operate The Rase. These providers process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.

For legal reasons: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority in Bangladesh, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Business transfers: If The Rase is acquired or merges with another company, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before any such transfer takes effect.

Your data is stored on servers located within secure cloud infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), password hashing, access controls limiting who within The Rase can view your data, and regular security audits.

While we take every reasonable precaution, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify you promptly in the event of a data breach that affects your personal information.

Access: You can view and download your profile data at any time from your account settings.

Correction: You can update your profile information at any time from your dashboard.

Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at privacy@therase.app. We will process your request within 30 days. Note that some data may be retained for legal or legitimate business reasons.

Portability: You can request a copy of your personal data in a machine-readable format.

Opt-out of marketing: You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or through your notification settings in the dashboard.

Profile visibility: You can control whether your profile is visible to employers through your privacy settings.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in across sessions, remember your preferences and settings, and analyse how users navigate the platform to improve job recommendations.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent some features from working correctly.

We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell your browsing data to ad networks.

The Rase is intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we become aware that a user is under 16, we will promptly delete their account and associated data. If you believe a child under 16 has created an account, please contact us at privacy@therase.app.

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites (such as employer career pages or external resources). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by email and by posting a prominent notice on the platform. The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent update. Continued use of The Rase after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
